Quality checks and export packing
Every bulk order is produced against an approved sample and checked before it is packed. Audit reports and certificates are shared with buyers on request.
What we check
Against the approved sample
Size, shape, weave, colour and finish are compared with the signed-off sample.
Construction
Handles, frames, joints and liners are checked for secure attachment.
Natural fibre care
Woven goods are dried and stored to reduce the risk of moisture during transit.
Labels and markings
Barcodes, care labels, hang tags and carton marks are checked against your artwork.
Packing
Nesting, carton strength and carton counts are checked before loading.
Third-party inspection
Your own inspectors or a nominated agency are welcome before shipment.
Inspection stages
Surface finish, colour consistency, dimensions and packing are where woven goods most often fail. We check them at three points.
During production
Early pieces from the line are checked against the approved sample before the full run continues.
Before shipment
Finished goods are inspected to the AQL level in your purchase order, by our team or your inspector.
At loading
Carton counts, marks and container condition are checked as goods are loaded.
Moisture and mould control
Natural fibres take up moisture, and a container at sea can stay humid for weeks. Every woven order goes through these steps.
Drying
Materials and finished goods are dried in drying rooms or in the sun before packing.
Moisture check
Moisture content is measured with a meter before goods are packed.
Anti-mould treatment
Applied where the material and the buyer's requirements call for it.
Breathable packing
Kraft paper or perforated polybags, desiccant in cartons, and fresh export cartons.
Container loading
Containers are checked for leaks, desiccant bags are hung inside, and cargo is kept clear of the walls.
Export documents
Prepared with each shipment, according to the product and the destination.
Shipping documents
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin.
Fumigation and phytosanitary
Fumigation and phytosanitary certificates where the destination requires them; ISPM 15 marked wood packaging.
Test reports
LFGB, EU 10/2011 or FDA for food contact; REACH; TSCA Title VI for composite wood; OEKO-TEX for textile parts.
Certified materials
FSC and GRS claims on invoices and transaction documents for certified items.

Species and country of harvest for US Lacey Act declarations and EU deforestation (EUDR) checks.

Common questions
Can you meet our retailer's testing requirements?
Send us the test standards for your market. We confirm which tests apply to each item and arrange them before shipment.
Do you share audit reports?
Yes. We share the latest reports and certificates with buyers who are evaluating us as a supplier.
How do you handle colour variation in natural materials?
Natural fibres vary from batch to batch. We agree an acceptable range against the approved sample before production starts.
